Webinar: Dynamic spectrum sharing- Driving 5G to scale

Previous generational upgrade cycles required operators to undertake the expensive, time-consuming process of spectrum refarming. But, for 5G, dynamic spectrum sharing allows carriers to side-step that process by transmitting LTE and 5G NR in the same band at the same time. DSS, coupled with the availability of compatible devices, will lead to widespread 5G coverage in 2020 and help ease the transition on to standalone 5G.

5G Network Quality Validation – Today and the Future

This webinar uses real measurements from the first commercial deployments of 5G to analyze the true performance and quality of 5G networks, examine its ability to support defined use cases and take a forward look to the emergence of a more reactive, reliable and higher capacity network able to support demanding use cases.

Network Performance Score

There is a demand for an efficient method of calculating an overall score that reflects the perceived technical performance of a network or one of its subsets, such as a region, a period of time or technology. The method described here considers and weights the key performance indicators (KPI) for a wide range of services… Read more »

Video: Understanding PIM

This video explains the basic technical principles behind Passive Intermodulation (PIM), why PIM is an issue in wireless communications, and how to test PIM in the field.

Understanding PIM

A subtle, but widespread, cause of interference in radio frequency networks in general, and cellular networks in particular, is something called passive intermodulation, or PIM. This paper explains what PIM is, common sources of PIM, how PIM is identified and tested, and the different ways in which PIM sources can be located in the field.

Ensure successful 5G site testing and acceptance

This webinar uses a real case study from the first pervasive 5G network in Europe to examine the importance of site acceptance testing, identify the various deployment scenarios and define an efficient methodology to test the associated KPIs to ensure delivery of QoE to the 5G end user.
Application Notes:

Interference hunting in TDD networks

In time division duplex (TDD) networks, the downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) use the same frequency band in different timeslots. When viewing such TDD signals on a conventional spectrum display, it is impossible to differentiate the two as well as any other unwanted signals present in the same spectrum. This makes interference hunting extremely difficult.… Read more »

Prepare your Spectrum for 5G Deployment

The rollout of 5G NR will initiate a worldwide deployment in an unknown radio environment where unwanted transmitters can degrade end-user QoE and in some cases cause outages of critical services. Prior to deployment, operators need to ensure the radio environment is free from interference by conducting spectral clearance and interference hunting. This webinar defines… Read more »

Testing Passive Networks in a Distributed Antenna System

With more than 80 % of cellular traffic coming from inside a building, distributed antenna systems (DAS) have become increasingly more popular. However, without a sound testing methodology, these systems can be complex to test. Request your free poster and download the pdf to learn more about DAS and how to test these systems.
